| Duties: The Senior Manager, Marketing Intelligence is a senior position reporting to the Director Marketing- Digital. This person will formulate, report and present business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide strategic and actionable recommendations to key stakeholders on crucial and urgent strategic issues. The candidate will be expected to provide consistent, strategic thought-leadership, with the expressed intent of informing and driving fundamental business strategic decisions, based on a thorough understanding of facts and industry developments. This includes but is not limited to analyzing, recommending, implementing and leveraging the full scope of 3rd party market and consumer Insights data, Customer Analytics, product and content performance and competitive trends. The Senior Manager, Marketing Intelligence will manage a team of analysts and work closely with marketing, Product, Editorial, IT and Sales, key stakeholders as well as external partners. Key Areas of Responsibility Web Analytics Platform Management, Data Collection and Requirements · Seek, evaluate, implement and optimize 3rd party web analytics platform · Gather and document business requirements Translate high-level requirements into solution architecture Integrating and aggregating data from a variety of sources Market & Competitive Intelligence · Inform top management and cross-functional teams via actionable, condensed and timely national and regional competitive intelligence updates, competitor profiles and pricing and promotion updates. · Gather and present technological intelligence on new market trends Design Development & Reports Design, develop and support dashboards, datasets and reports ensuring quality and audit ability Develop simple tools to rapidly drive performance intelligence reports/analysis Create front end user interfaces for self service reports Insights Via reports and ad-hoc analysis, provide structured insights to support the proof of value to web users & advertisers by providing information to the product, marketing and editorial team As an active and visible consultant in the organization, use engaging and impacting storytelling to communicate insights and recommendations taken from integrated data sets, multiple sources, prior marketing and consulting experience. Partner closely with the VPs and Directors within the larger organization to insure appropriate insights, efficiencies, and best practices are consistently shared. | Qualifications: Education Experience and Technical Skills Undergraduate or MSc. in Business, Mathematics, Statistics or Finance 5-7 years in a business driven analytics capacity 3-5 years experience of direct interaction with marketing, sales, and/or finance providing information/solutions, working collaboratively Understanding of Search and Web analytics Experience/proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture, Access, Excel, etc. Experience working in cross functional environments Soft Skills and Competencies Strong analytical skills and proven business acumen Ability to structure and manage complex data sets Leadership, high personal standards and professional ethics. Understanding of digital media publishing, advertising networks, business models, stakeholders, innovation and trends. Ability to effectively simplify a complex strategic (and technical) topic into a well-structured analysis and actionable recommendations using a combination of effective and creative methods such as benchmarking, internal & external research and consulting methods. Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to change Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills use compelling storytelling especially in terms of visualization in presentations. Strong human resources management skills, social skills and emotional intelligence. Bilingual (English, French) is considered an asset |
